Dr. Hassan Ayariga Pledges National Database to Fight Corruption if Elected in 2024

Dr. Hassan Ayariga, the presidential candidate of the All People’s Congress (APC), has outlined his vision to combat corruption in Ghana through the implementation of a comprehensive national database system. Addressing Ghanaians during the presidential encounters on November 14, 2024, Dr. Ayariga identified corruption as a critical barrier to the nation’s economic progress.

He proposed the creation of a centralized database to collect and manage essential information on citizens and key sectors such as education, agriculture, and health. According to him, the initiative would help monitor sector operations, identify gaps, and promote efficient governance.

“The database will include information like bank details, property records, biometrics, employment history, and other citizen-owned resources,” Dr. Ayariga explained. “This will ensure transparency and accountability in managing our country’s affairs.”

The APC leader emphasized that this system would enhance oversight and provide the tools necessary to address corruption effectively. He assured citizens that his leadership would prioritize using technology to strengthen governance, improve service delivery, and restore public trust in state institutions.

As the 2024 general elections draw closer, Dr. Ayariga’s proposal adds a tech-driven perspective to the conversation on curbing corruption and improving governance in Ghana.
