KiDi Reflects on Past Behavior: Expresses Regret Over Trolling on Social Media.

KiDi, the talented Ghanaian singer-songwriter, has opened up about his past behavior, expressing regret for engaging in trolling on social media during his younger years. In a recent interview with Cookie Tee on TV3, KiDi acknowledged that he is not proud of his actions and takes full accountability for his past behavior.

Recalling his teenage years, KiDi revealed that he used his social media platform for trolling, a behavior he now recognizes as immature and inappropriate. He admitted,

“I was probably 19, 20. Social media wasn’t what it is right now. Those times, you come to social media to come and say trash and go your way.”

However, KiDi emphasized that experiences and growth have taught him valuable lessons, leading him to take responsibility for his past actions. He understands that the person he is today is not the same as the young man he once was, as life’s experiences shape individuals into who they become.

“I take full accountability and responsibility for that. I’m not proud of that, but I’ve come to also realize that the people we are right now, however old you are, is not how you came into this world. There’s a lot of experiences you’ve gone through to learn and grow to become the adult you are,” KiDi humbly stated.

Acknowledging the impact of his past behavior, the ‘Touch It’ singer mentioned that he had to learn the hard way from his experiences, which played a significant role in shaping him into the person he is today. He referred to that period as his “foolish youthful days,” expressing relief that he has outgrown that behavior and evolved into a better individual.

KiDi, who was named the VGMA 2022 artiste of the year, was asked to offer advice to those who still engage in similar trolling behavior. He opined that some people need to experience certain ordeals firsthand before they learn, as no amount of advice can change their mindset.

“‘Wob3 nnyin ab3 tu’ (meaning you’ll grow to come and see). There are a lot of things in life that you can never advise anybody on; they have to meet it themselves and learn from it. I’m of that view. If they don’t experience it for themselves, they won’t learn,” KiDi explained.
